- Foreigners of Non-Singaporean Nationality:
Valid Passport: The passport must be within its validity period.
Singapore Pass/Visa: Such as Work Permit, S Pass, Employment Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass, etc., to prove their legal stay status in Singapore.
II. Marital Status Proof
Verifying a client’s current marital status is a crucial part of matchmaking services to ensure that all single individuals seeking services are legally eligible to marry.
- For Single Unmarried Individuals:
Certificate of No Impediment / Single Status Certificate: For foreigners, this proof is typically required to be issued by the embassy or government agency of their nationality to confirm that they are single and eligible to marry in Singapore.
Statutory Declaration: In some cases, clients may need to declare under oath before a Commissioner for Oaths that they are single.
Marriage Record Search Result from the Registry of Marriages (ROM) Singapore: Singapore citizens and permanent residents can use this service to prove they have no marriage records in Singapore.
- For Individuals with Previous Marital History (Divorced or Widowed):
Final Judgment of Divorce: Applicable to divorced individuals; the final divorce decree must be provided.
Death Certificate of Late Spouse: Applicable to widowed individuals.
Previous Marriage Certificate: May be required as part of the marital history record.
